BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Trustees serve as custodian of the church’s legal papers, deeds and legal documents in a safe and secure manner. The Trustees are responsible for the execution of legal papers as authorized and directed by the Charge Conference.
Other responsibilities include the following:
-Proposing a program of planned maintenance for the church building, the parsonage if any, and other real property of the church.
-Securing appropriate property and liability insurance for all church property and operations.
-Submitting budget proposals for all mortgages, insurance coverage, utilities, maintenance and repairs for all church property.
-Overseeing contract or volunteer workers making repairs or improvements.
-Supervising cleaning and maintenance of church building and grounds.
-Maintaining any church parsonage in a comfortable living condition.
-Accepting and administering, as authorized and directed by the Charge Conference; all trusts, endowments and bequests to the church; in the best interests of the church and according to the applicable conditions of such trust, endowment or bequest.
The board of trustees consists of nine people of both genders; each serving three year terms on a rotating basis. Trustees may succeed themselves when their terms expire.

STAFF PARISH RELATIONS COMMITTEE (SPRC)

The SPRC’s mission is to provide oversight of NHFUMC staff, secure replacements for any vacancies which occur, recommend for the consideration of the Church Council any needed additions or deletions to the staff and other staff-related decisions in keeping with the mission and ministry of the NHFUMC.
The most important function of the SPRC members is to serve as liaison between the church congregation and staff. Each member, in carrying out this mission, must listen to all thoughts and concerns of the Congregation; provide thoughtful, prayerful consideration and suggest appropriate resolution for each problem and concern presented.
The SPRC meets the first Thursday of each month (as needed) at 7:00 PM.
Congregation members are encouraged to talk with any SPRC member individually.

Recently formed to bring together those interested in helping plan and participate in services to make them interesting, attractive, and in particular, worshipful. This group works with the Pastor to plan Advent, Lenten, Thanksgiving and other special or seasonal services. No regularly scheduled meetings; meetings are scheduled as needed.
